SOPHIA ROSE
Sophia Rose is a Brisbane-based vocalist and songwriter whose sound bridges the laid-back vibes of her New Zealand roots with the warmth of Australian indie and pop. A versatile performer and educator, she teaches vocals at JMC Academy and performs weekly across Brisbane’s live music scene.
A trained jazz vocalist with a Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy from the Queensland Conservatorium, Sophia moves effortlessly across genres—pop, jazz, funk, country, and beyond. She’s sung national anthems at international rugby matches, headlined venues from the Brisbane Convention Centre to The Walrus Club, and performed everything from disco to Lorde tributes.
Influenced by artists like Crowded House, Sam Fender, and Missy Higgins, Sophia’s original music is earthy, honest, and emotionally rich, sitting between pop and R&B. With national radio play and growing collaborations as a co-writer, she continues to make her mark as one of Brisbane’s most dynamic voices.
